What a bunch of fun your girls are having...so sweet is that daddy time! Our economy car (an old Ford escort) has a flat; thankfully, it happened in the driveway and not while I was out with my kids. We have AAA which we've used so many times I can't keep track! Such a blessing since we live so far out of town (half an hour). So glad it all worked out with the coffee and catching up. How sweet of the Lord to bless you in the midst of what could've been a truly difficult circumstance! We once saw the movie that was based on that book and found it to be a curious story, but it was a long time ago. I never read the book itself. I say go to Plum Creek! :) Blessings, ~LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14760735212107263086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35946782.post-74292733443025913662014-03-27T15:41:00.605-07:002014-03-27T15:41:00.605-07:00I have to agree with you, I've enjoyed Francin...I have to agree with you, I've enjoyed Francine's stuff before but I really had a hard time getting into Sin Eater. I eventually abandoned it, too. Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors. Redeeming Love and A Voice in the Wind, as mentioned by another commenter, are excellent.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12967901886618696506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35946782.post-57557621958292496212014-03-26T07:53:11.410-07:002014-03-26T07:53:11.410-07:00I like Francine Rivers, but, you're right, whe...I like Francine Rivers, but, you're right, when you're just not into the book, you've got to put it down. Have you tried "Redeeming Love" or "A Voice in the Wind"?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35946782.post-83128520093388145032014-03-26T07:09:09.198-07:002014-03-26T07:09:09.198-07:00I love the rhythm of knitting - it soothes my soul...I love the rhythm of knitting - it soothes my soul. I'm glad your tire didn't need to be replaced. We seem to have gone through our share of tires on everyone's cars this past winter. Luckily strangers at a house (yes!) helped me switch the tire and I drove 5 miles to a garage that fixed the tire. Glad you were close to home :) karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09252685705241032079noreply@blogger.com
