Not everyone can say they are lucky enough to have a real Uncle Sam, but my little Adelaide is just that lucky. My brother Sam is 14 and growing up fast.
When she was born, Sam would have slept on the couch in the hospital if we'd have let him. Actually, he probably would have slept on the floor, in the bathtub, or even in the baby hospital crib. That's how smitten he was with Baby.
He's a sweet caring young man, who, although he often puts his foot in his mouth lately, and while he can't resist the temptation to let his snarky teenager-ness show through at times, he is one of my favorite people in the whole world. And you have never seen goofy until you had seen a 14 year old boy completely in love with a 4 month old baby.
We love you, PBS.
