Rosie in Rio

Last month I finished up Rosemary's Rio dress and hadn't gotten pictures of her in it yet.  She wore it once but otherwise it has still been too hot for snuggly knits, in spite of the short sleeves.  Today was much cooler and starting to feel like fall, so I nabbed the opportunity for her to wear it and take some pictures to share.  I love the buttons and think they are perfect; classic, simple, and feminine.  This yarn was a delight to work with and has a lovely sheen with good stitch definition and it's oh-so-soft.  I wanted to hold and cuddle this munchkin all day.  I especially wanted to catch her up for kisses every time I saw her laying down and reaching for her feet with her hands. What can I say?  I am smitten with this girl.

She sits now, at least when wedged up with pillows, although she can't maintain a sitting position by herself yet.  She will be so pleased with herself when she can sit independently and even more so when she can move herself from place to place; she desperately wants to see and be with her big sisters all the time.  Amazingly, she even falls asleep better when they all go to bed at the same time, regardless (or probably now because of) the background chatter, singing, and murmuring that includes.

I have another finished knit to share as soon as I get pictures of my biggest lovely modeling it!  I am so delighted with how it turned out and can't wait to see it worn...

  1. I am smitten with her too! I love how she is laying on a handmade quilt I was given when you were born!
