yarn along: same

See the pretty Hitofude?  That's really all there is to say about that, she said with a grin.

See the same book I've been posting about for weeks while it gets read a little at a time?  That's about all there is to say about that, too!

{Finished listening to The White Moll this week by Frank L. Packard on Forgotten Classics; still listening to Sense and Sensibility on CraftLit, King Lear on ChopBard and thinking of starting The Legend of Sleepy Hollow from past CraftLit episodes because it's October}

A little visit to my LYS to spend birthday money yielded a skein of Malabrigo Arroyo and a couple skeins of Cascade sport.  I have no specific idea what they will become but the colors are sweet together and I'm thinking a hat and mitts set.  Just another reason to spend time on Ravelry planning, what a shame.

While at the dentist today, the hygienist was cleaning my gum "pockets" (yes.  sigh.) with the tiniest little tool and then she showed me a diagram of said pockets against the tool she used and the tool looked like a miniscule knitting needle.  You know you are a knitter when you think about all the things you could find to knit with in an apocalypse. Am I the only one who does this?

Happy yarn along day, my friends.

{P.S. Tracy - this is a public service announcement that I've been meaning to take you up on your offer for help with the YA button but haven't had a chance... or a phone.  Soon}

    I love your Hitofude and I hope you are grinning BIG!
    Yes, I have had thoughts about what I could use as needles, I think nails would work too. :)

  5. Your cardigan is coming along so well! I'm hoping to knit a Hitofude one of these days and I'll have to remember your color choice. Your dentist visit sounds miserable -- I hate the dentist! You should've saved your yarn store trip until afterwards as a reward! :)

  7. I was going to ask...are gum pockets a good thing? A bad thing? Or an everybody's' got 'em thing? But then I just decided to google them. Ow.

    So nice that you could take your mind off of them long enough to contemplate knitting. With a teeny, tine surgical instrument. That's definitely hard core.

    Beautiful Hiltofude!

  8. your hitofude really IS looking quite pretty!!! (and I have had the same gum problem----and thought the very same thing about the 'cleaning tool'. Do you think we need a support group?)

    1. A knitter's support group sounds like a perfect place to get some good knitting done. :)
