Our Adelaide's fourth birthday party was a smashing success, especially if you measure success in
smiling friends,
rainbow jelly bean cake,
streamers,
fancy party dresses,
balloons,
pom poms,
laughter,
a competitive game of Popsicle Memory,
piles of gifts from our generous family and friends,
a visit from Grammie,
grave pre-candle wishes and
pride at blowing them out,
and happiness basically bursting out of the birthday girl.
I do measure success that way.
