Yarn Along, July 2

Well; here I am running off to see the doctor for what I fear is strep throat... the white bumps in the back of my throat late last night are foreboding. But it isn't open yet, so I will put up a yarn along post after all!  A quick phone picture of the Bulle I am working on for Lyddie's birthday, to be set aside until fall - certainly we are in no weather for her to wear it now, since we're expecting weather in the mid-90s today!

I am still reading Agatha Christie's The Mystery of the Blue Train and have made good progress on it as I haven't been feeling well the past few days and have made myself rest more than usual.  I also picked up Whole Prayer by Walter Wangerin Jr. I'm not very far in but my husband loved it when he read it so I expect I will find it excellent as well.

Oh, and I discovered a new blog that I think is really sweet- it's another Yarn Along friend who just started writing about her family's life in Montana.  Check it out at On the Banks of Hound Creek, her pictures are gorgeous!

And that is that - I better zip on out the door to see what we shall see.

  1. Summer illnesses are never fun, I hope that you find relief soon! I think that sweater is coming along quite well! And I have to agree...no time to wear it now. Although, if it were me knitting it...I would have to keep knitting right through the summer to make sure it was ready in the fall :-)

  6. Oh no feel better. Nothing worse than sick in the summer! I am working on a sweater vest for my daughter and she is so excited but since it's hot here too she'll have to wait to wear it.

  11. Aw, thanks, Sarah! Oh, my goodness, strep throat is terrible. So hoping you feel better soon. I love your Bulle - this is on my To Knit List. And love Agatha Christie, too! My Mom and I used to read her mysteries. So funny you are reading one now - it has been on my mind here lately to read one again. : )

  12. I hope you feel better soon. Your Bulle is quite pretty. Love the color. I always liked Agatha Christie novels. I don't remember that one but I think I read almost all of them when I was a teen.
